Cockroach 

Oriental cockroach is more common than the German Coackroach. It is dark reddish brown to black and about 24 mm long. The oriental coackroach are commonly found in kitchens, bakeries, drains, cellers and feed on wide variety of plant and animal material.

German Cpackroach is smaller ( about 10-15mm long) and light brown in colour. They likes moust areas and can climb smoth surfaces unlike the Oriental coackroaches. It is found in kitchens, backeries and fridges as they resist very low temperatures. The American type found normally in drains and city sewers.

Rodent 

Mice and rats are the main source of  food poisoning  bacteria and can carry other diseases. Black rats are dangerous but very rare. The Brown rates can be found in city sewers, warehouses mostly. They may feed on grains, vegetables, fruits and even candles and soap. They carry diseases such as leptospirosis or Weil's disease whaich is cuase by leptospairs bacteria found in rats urine. They can also damage electrical cables and similar materials.

Ants and Mites 

Ants are the most known insects. They are attracted to sweet and fatty materials. They can be found in kitchens, pantries, storrooms
and warehouses. 

The Mites attact variuos type of produce especailly if moisture level is high. Mites adults attract cereal embryos, The hypopus stage resist starvation and chemical treatments.

Flies

Various types of flies can be found in and around the gomes and food premises. Flies are nuisance and capable of tansmitting diseases such as salmonella, typhoid fever, cholera, anthrax, dysentery etc.  The house fly is black and most common world wide. The fruit and bottle fly are less common . They are larger than the house flies and have shiny metallic color. They lay their eggs on exposed meat. They have loud droning buzz. There is also, fruit flies which contaminate food such as fruits and rubbish.

Fleas, Lice and Bedbugs

Fleas live as parasites of warm blooded animals especially mammals. Fleas can transmit typeworms, typhus and bubonic plague in some parts of the world. Wall to wall carpeting is suitable place for fleas to develop. The most common flea is called cat flea. Human flea is rare. Fleas bite and a small dark red spots surrounded by reddened area appera. The bite presists for one or two days and is intensely irritating.

Birds

Starling birds caue nuisance. This can be a real problem for gardens and orchards. They may cause damage and eating food of poutry, birds etc. Variuous methods used to overcome this problems such as narcotizers, repellants, network bird netting and bird scaring.

Wasp

The main nuisance caused by wasps is minor damage done to wooden fences. The wasps stings can cause painfull selling that may last few days. In some cases it may cause serious illness to some people.
